Success with radio block off plate

Radio delete left a big hole so I tried the OEM Porsche block off plate. I couldn't get it to fit properly so I just left it. Tried it again and it fit ok (?) It was a little loose and had to be rotated into alignment. Bonded the plate in with RTV and taped it into place and let it cure. Actually doesn't look too bad. BTW, I tried one of those DIN storage boxes from eBay and that didn't fit as well.

Inspired by another Pelican's post, I cut out a black foam backed piece of cardboard I had lying around the house. Seems to fit nicely, meaning you can't tell unless you look closely !

Where did you source this? I was planning to order a few different DIN shelves in order to find one that fits. If this is known to fit, l’ll get one.

I'd also love to get a source for the DIN cubby

Who's gonna be the first to install a cubby/block off plate combo for a secret hidey-hole in plain sight?

There's a good reason why cup holders were banned in the 911, until the "modern" era, when these were still sport cars.
