Question rear tire suggestions for SC ??

hi all,
need 225/50 for 8x15" phone dials.
currently on front: 7x15" phone dials w/ BF Goodrich Comp ZR and they are brand new.

Tire Rack doesn't seem to have these in stock at the moment.

Any alternatives?? Should i also stick w/ BF Goodrich for the rear since they're already on the front rims?

Am looking for a high performance street tire that i can also use for DE's -- AND provide me with some confidence on rainy days.

am not looking to spend more than $170 per tire.

thanks guys,

Maurice

Cool Tire Sizes

I just put a set of the Falken 451s on my '80 911SC coupe. The
wheels are 7x16 fronts with 205-55s and 8x16 rears with 225-50s. I replaced the rears first (the old skins were worn down to
bald eagle status) and the handling was terrible. Within 2 weeks I replaced the fronts (which still had 1/2 the tread left) with matching 451s and the handling and stability magically reappeard.
So far, I have been very impressed with the handling characteristics of these tires. They seem to be just as good on a wet road as a dry one. We'll just have to see how long they last!

Good Luck,

Cool Tires

Sorry, forgot to put in the price. They were about $125.00 each mounted and balanced.

thanks Fred.
i think i'm sticking with the BF Goodrich G-force for the rear - and making all 4 tires uniform.
