Mounting tips for a 74 flag mirror on a SC door.

Hi-

I have a rust free replacement coupe SC doors that I am fitting to my 74 targa. Also, I have a 74 reproduction left side drivers door mirror. I am aware that the SC flag mirror holes will need to be welded/filled ect and have done a search on the project in the forum. No lucky on drivers side mirror attachment techniques. I am struggling with finding access to mount the mirror from inside the jam. There are standard holes and a sub plate structure from the SC flag mirror but the angels don't seem to line up for the 74 mirror holes. A thread I read discussed how to mount the passenger side mirror, in which you need to access the fasteners from inside the door with the panel removed due to the different mounting position. This makes sense but I am struggling with where to drill the holes for the 74 mirror that will allow access to attachment screws on the drivers side. Does anyone have dimensions they would like to share. I can use the mirror base gasket as the template.

Passanger side prepped and treated with PPG metal conditioner and ready for Epoxy
