Sunroof Rattle

My '91 coupe has a minor rattle in the sunroof when closed. When it rattles, I can gently press up on the sunroof and the rattle stops. I've examined the mechanical bits and can see nothing out of place.

Did you pull the cover back and check the mounting clips? There are two slider clips at the back and two swivels in the front that mount the four corners of the sunroof to the rails. If any of these are loose, this may cause a rattle. Which corner are you pressing on?

Sounds like you need to check the gold bolts on the mounts at the end of the sunroof cable that attach to the sunroof itself. These bolts control the rear sunroof height. Basically, you need to remove the headliner portion from the sunroof, loosen the gold bolt on each side, raise the rear of the sunroof, then tighten these bolts back up. Let me know if this fixes the problem...

I haven't opened or inspected anything yet.

I have only tried to press in the center section (from inside) and the rattle stops. I will attempt to look closer this weekend.
