SWB trailing arms and brakes
I know this may sound stupid,
but seeing torsion bar splines are the same and length wise a 944 trailing arm is the same length so should fit a SWB car, don't know about angle of inner mounts but VW ones are cheap and its not hard to chop off the 911 mounts and weld a set on, even the jig for a bug IRS conversion will bolt up, also no shock mounts in the right place on the 944 arms, the advantage being better brakes and easy to find bits and if the alloy arms fit then alloy arms on the SWB, not that its a big plus really haha, later wide track alloy 944 arms would work for ST look with flared arches? 924/944 steel and early alloy should be the same width as stock, Ive searched my little heart out with no answers other than a post about a 356 using beetle arms and the lack of bend that the 911 arm has meant the bug ones hit the floor easier but this thing was slammed, feel free to call me all sorts of names haha, Cheers Russ... nobody ever thought of using 944 arms on a SWB before? I find that hard to believe...
