You'll need to figure out if the relay has gone bad or if one of the inputs to make it buzz has gone bad, like a door sensor. I don't have a schematic handy to see what else besides the two door switches feed that relay. Assuming the 87 has the relay in the same place as my 85, it is not in a convenient spot to to connect your DMM for testing. Mine is behind the fuel gauge accessible from the frunk. From the front of the car, you'll see two relays side by side. If I recall correctly, the one on the right is the power window relay and the one on the left if the buzzer/relay. Of course, you can just feel which one is vibrating to figure out which is which too. Might just want to pull that relay, tap it a bit and plug it back in to confirm if relay going bad.

Really not meaning to be not helpful but my 87 does not buzz at all. Didn't know it did maybe at one time. Does it buzz when the key is turned to the accessory position just before engaging the starter or during the start itself ? Future reference. Maybe the wire is cut on mine or simply failed over time ??

My SC seems to have done this a few times over the past 15 years after long storage periods for some reason. I found if I reach in and push the wires up into the black relay block with my hand/fingers (they enter from underneath) that seems to fix it. I don't know why - perhaps vibration makes them slip or loosen over time.
Makes no sense, but like clockwork this has corrected this a few times then problem is gone for a few years. In fact I sometimes just reach in from the frunk and push them up just for the heck of it to stave off the issue. Annoying I know.

I ripped that annoying thing out and chucked it in the glove box. Been there about 17 years now.

My ‘86 just came back from the upholstery shop. They put on a new top and replaced the material covering the windshield bow. In order to do so, they had to remove the interior light. When i got it back, the buzzer would not stop until I removed the key. Didn’t matter if the motor was running or not. The light has 3 leads on it, they connected the power lead the frame of the light. This only allowed the light to come on when you rocked it to the (always on) position. When the light is rocked back, a ground was completed for the buzzer circuit. It also would not allow me to operate the windows after the key was off and before I opened a door. Check to make sure your interior light is wired correctly. That cleared my issue.
