Mount a space saver on a 16" Fuchs ?

Does anyone here have experience mounting a 16" space saver on
a 16" x 6" or 16" x 7" Fuchs wheel ?
Does anyone here have a 16" space saver (off the wheel) for sale ?
TIA
Rory

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have a 15" space saver tire mounted on a factory Fuchs. I'd recommend using a six inch wide wheel, though, and not seven if you plan to use 16s. And if you wanted to get really crazy, here's a 17" space saver tire; imagine that mounted on a 17" Fuchs rep like a Zuffenhaus or Fikse...

Thank you for your reply.

There was a thread about this .. Someone put a 15" space saver on a 15" Fuchs "15J" was the size. I think it works, but check the old thread. Another guy who had a bead welded around to the rim to create a lip to hold the space saver on.. I am curious about this too. What is the newest space saver tire made.. do they still make them and in what sizes?

I know it works on a stock, unmodified 15" Fuchs - I have one in the garage.

I think the 17 space saver shown above is from a 996, but that is not exactly a for sure thing.

It works on a 15in.

I'm sure it would work on a 16 too.

I've got one on a 15". No reason it won't work on a 16". Not sure of it will fit as neatly as the 15. Also, the challenge will be finding a tire shop that will mount a 40 year old tire. Skip the chain stores and go to an old-school local shop.
