Fuel Accumulator Bottom Hose
Hi All,
Having some hot start problems, decided to test my Fuel Accumulator (1980 SC.) Went to pull the bottom hose, discovered a hose type I’m not familiar with - rubber outside (mine badly cracking) and a plastic or vinyl interior hose that looks like it's almost heat shrunk on the fitting, no clamp. Tried to pull on it, lots of resistance, and must have tore a small hole in it because a small leak was present next time I started my car. (couple pics below.) Any tips on working with, replacing this hose type? Maybe simpler to use simple rubber fuel hose, clamp for this application? Thanks much, Phil ![]()

I have had these hoses rebuilt at hydraulic hose shops or heavy equipment service shops. You will need to take the old hose and fittings with you. They will use the old fittings with new hose. This is a hard plastic hose used for fuel and oil lines.
