Need help figuring out what bushing is needed
 

about a month ago I was mountain driving and I felt the throttle pedal stick and not return very well after I pushed it down. I thought about what I would do if it actually stuck down. this was moments before the pedal actually stuck down and tried to cause me to rear end my brother who was right in front of me going into a braking zone before entering a turn. Regardless, we got the car stopped safely and located the issue. the rod coming off the pedal going back to a ball and socket seemed to be leaning over (leaning to the right) and rubbing on the body of the car. With little tools available in the mountains of GA we chipped away some of the body to make room for the failed bushing that keeps the assembly vertical. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what bushing it is that I need to replace or if there is just a complete bushing rebuild kit for the pedal assembly I should just go for to clean it all up. Any input is appreciated!

OK so it looks like this is the correct diagram for my pedal assembly. If the Bell crank (#17) is leaning over, should I replace #18 (qty2)? I would assume I would just get both to be safe but the one I'm not sure about is #21. That guy is titled "rubber stop". 19 and 20 are a washer and a lock washer so I don't think I'll need to replace those.

18, 29 & 13 are all plastic bushings that should be replaced with the bronze bushings our host sells.
Pull the pedal assembly and rebuild it. It's very easy.
I would check the throttle pivots below on the transmission and on top of the engine too.

I noticed you have a pedal assembly similar to what I used to have in my 85 911. started having same issue with gas pedal wanting to stick down. in my case that component had bent to the point of catching on something, and if you hit the brake pedal the gas pedal would release.

turned out that gas pedal stop on that gas pedal was allowing me to push the gas pedal too far and bending that bracket. got it straightened and installed a Rennline adjustable stop that prevented it from happening again. not saying your bushings dont need to be replaced, just another experience to consider when fixing. I did not have to change out the bushings. been working fine for years now. and have reverted to stock and removed all the pedal and floorboard alum stuff.

if you look real close under the gas pedal you can see that stop.
