Just the (exhaust) tip R&R?
Greetings all,
I searched, but came up short... Oh, the double entendre of it all! ;-) Anywho, I'm looking for the procedure to remove the OE exhaust tip for SC / Carrera mufflers. I've installed them (using a small wood block and a mallet), but I've never removed them. Is it possible to remove the tip / sleeve without damaging it for eventual reinstallation? If so, how? This kind... https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/TMP9470B.htm?pn=TMP-9470B TIA!

You'll find a small notch in the tailpipe against which you should be able to lay a pin tool and then a hammer to force it off. Note that some are tack welded so you would need to defeat that before attempting this, otherwise it is a simple interference fit.
