Ok, now we're rolling! Anyways, this is an aftermarket center console. I bought it from a guy off here who got frustrated trying to make it work. It was your typical fiberglass piece, needing lots of customizing to get it to fit.

It didn't come with a faceplate, so I covered a 1/4" piece of wood. I was going to put gauges all the way down it, but realized that visibility was poor about 1/2 way down (shifter is in the way and the angle from driver's seat is too sharp) so I decided to put a little cubby down there to hold stuff. I found a Saab 9000S cubby to be the perfect shape and size, nearly a perfect fit. I made a trim piece with the wood and was good to go. I then got another neat piece from a Saab 9000; it is a DIN size plastic unit that has two trays which slide out. The top holds change, the second is a cup holder. Only problem is the cup holder when out stops the shifter from going into 1/3/5. It is about 1/2" too far out; I'm hoping a short shift kit will resolve this (or can I adjust the shifter and move it back?). Above this piece I put another 1 DIN size piece of wood in and can install whatever I please in this piece. I may eventually move my radio down here as well.

Also note the 3 guage pod I am making in place of the center vent (A/C long gone). All in all, it doesn't look to bad. I still need to do some final touches (wiring, etc).
