ER crossover and high clearance oil lines

Hello all, just purchased the up and over the tranny crossover line from elephant for an '86 911. Doesn't seem to 'bolt right up' unless I cut a slot in the engine tin below the crank sensors. Probably 2 inches worth.. Also, after doing some searches on here trying to find that answer, I see the the high clearance lines may also interfere with the charcoal canister in the fender well.. questioning the whole project now..
Any experiences with this situation?

I reread your post and it does not go "up and over" the bell housing, it goes under it. have I misrepresented your intent?

Why are you going over the top when that application was finished in 1971?
SSIs use the crossover under the bell housing and is standard for that application.

No particular reason for going over the top. Just saw the two options and figured this was the most out of the way. Also, I think I'm correct in saying that the under version will not work with stock exhaust so I figured if for some reason the stock manifolds went back on I'd be safe.

The advantage of the "go over the top" universal crossover is that it works with any exhaust configuration. I machined the top web of my G50 to clear the universal line to make it very easy to swap the stock exhaust back into the car.

The universal crossover did require a bit of the engine tin to be trimmed.

That's basically what I figured. I would never have to deal with again.

"The universal crossover did require a bit of the engine tin to be trimmed."

A little conservative, imho..

Quicksilver, did you happen to use the 'high clearance' lines in the wheel well?
