Front struts
 

Looking at the front struts from my Porsche 930 from 1979 I realize a difference. Please take a look at this picture at let me have your explanation, it will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

At one time PO replaced it probably due to an accident or worn spindle even bent spindle.

Just replace the wrong year one. I know annoying . Try to get the part number off of the housing under that dirt to see which one is the proper one and you can replace if needed.

One on the bottom should be for year. Top if that gland nut sits on the out side is mid 85 or newer BOGE strut.
