993 Aero Kit - Pics/prices anyone?
I am looking at a '96 993 w/ a factory Aero Kit. $5120 on original sticker. What do you think it is worth on a resale? Does anyone have any pics of the factory Aero Package? Do you know if it would include 'wide' c4s type flares?

I'm not an expert here, but have looked at a lot of 993's and never seen the turbo wide rear fenders on any non turbo car except the C4S.
As far as value - purely subjective I think. I personally don't like them on the C4S and would not buy a car with them. So, for me it reduces the value. Again, just one guys opinion.

I'm no expert either, but I get the impression that the aero kit is just the rear (turbo-style) spoiler.
As for value; well, if most 1996 models are worth about half the original sticker price, then it only stands to reason that any options are also worth half. So an UPPER LIMIT would be around $2500. But options usually don't hold much value. I think if you want to put on a rear turbo-style spoiler, it would cost you roughly $1500 plus painting. So maybe it's worth that to you if you're really set on the spoiler.

I don't know about the standard 993 aero kit, but on the C4S it includes side skirts and a lower front spoiler in addition to the rear spoiler.

First, aero kits do seem to boost the resale value on a 993. I know this from limited first-hand experience. People seem to like the aero kits especially on the wide cars.
Aero kits were available in several varieties. They were available on both wide (Carrera S and Carrera 4S) and narrow body Carrera and even on cabriolets. The most common is the Aerokit I which includes the biplane rear spoiler and the RS front splitter, then there was another factory option that had the side skirts. Finally there was the turbo S aerokit for widebody cars. These are the Tequipment "factory" aerokits offered for USA only. Euro RS and clubsport was not a USA option. |

Thanks. It is listed on factory sticker as Aero Kit I SPOILER/FRONT-REAR. I was hoping that aero kit included widebody, but this isn't an 'S', and does not have side skirts.

This cab was listed by a dealer as having an aero kit. Apparently the Aero Kit I as John described.
But this car was also listed by a dealer as having an aero kit. Doesn't seem to have anything but a rear spoiler, which is the turbo style, not bi-wing. Hmmmm.
