Right now online at Autozone.. VR1 shows up as 1.00 . but if you click on it directly it resets to 7.49. So under "In store pickup" don't click the box, but hit "see stores with item" That takes you to a page that lists your stores. to the left is a box "Ship to home instead of store pickup" And that... brings you to a page where you can put in the quantity.. I picked 36- because until OCT 15th shipping on 35.00 or more is FREE

A little tricky but mine is on the way 36 bottles for $36.00!!

Didn't work for me either. You have to select a store before seeing the price, no way to do it the way the OP suggested. Maybe the moble site is different than the desktop or maybe it is only in some stores.

You have to do it specifically as I said.
Again with more detail..
-Search for Valvoline 20W/50
It'll come up for $1.00 but don't click on it
-go a few lines down, you'll see in GREEN HIGHLIGHTS "see stores with item:
click on the highlight.
-Now you are on the next page probably showing not in store..
-Go down to near bottom, you'll see a GRAY band - ACCESSORIES
Under that you'll see Valvoline engine oil with a box on the left for "Ship to HOME", click
the box, then hit CONTINUE.

Now you are on a page where you can choose how many you want at one time in a box.
It will come up one dollar for each one. If you choose 36 it's FREE SHIPPING until the 15th. Even a lesser qty is still a good deal for $1 plus shipping.

I haven't cornered the only deal... I don't know what's up.. except they did carry it, and now stores near me don't anymore. Maybe they are getting rid of inventory, or I stumbled across an online snafu by sheer luck. At first I ordered 24, then saw the Free shipping, so I cancelled my order. Then I wanted to order 36, but I couldn't get back to the $1 screen with the qty box. So I had to run through it a few times until I found it.

mobil 1 5qt jug at walmart for $22.
100ppm difference in zinc. you will never notice it

if you want more zinc than vr1 then use amsoil

How does that even compare? OP graciously let us know about the VR1 for a $1/ QT. and your walmart mobil 1 for $4.40/ QT is brought up why again?

This thread was about the $1/ QT oil not the never ending zinc content argument.
