rust prevention?

What do you spray on engine components to reduce chance of rust? .. example; the clips on the distributor.

thanks

Jason

Tough question, ooof. I've not had anything on my car really want to rust with normal "non salty road" driving. Regular wet-roads and rain have not caused any issues with mine but it does live in a decent garage when not in use. I drive mine a lot. If I thought a few simple things needed protection not already there I might consider fresh cad. plating or some paint.

Hey Jason - take a look at the link below. The WD40 corrosion version looks like it'll work well.

Another good product is Fluid Film, which comes in aerosol form. It is made with lanolin and works well for, exactly what you're talking about but can smell a bit like a wet sheep if you go overboard with it. I bought it when I couldn't find Gibbs locally, use it on my 911's fan and other pieces that benefit from some protection.
