Porsche Crest VIDEO: Carrera 2.7 at Calder Park Raceway

Here's a 4MB MPEG clip we put together using the footage from Wednesday's successful shakedown.

Calder Shakedown

Please excuse the Dutch tilt with the in-car camera!

Well, enjoy!

Nice Video Matt
I makes me yern for nice track day weather.. so I can get some footage to share..
I simply hope none of that spin action takes place! HAAAHAHAHA
the track looked rough. may have caused the spin..

k9handler, thanks! I spun the car three times on Wednesday, which my mechanic found quite amusing!

Eric, it ain't the smoothest track in the world, but I think we can attribute that spin to excessive exuberance! Hurry up with that footage!

Nice video. Well made.

Sometimes there's a hint of RSR sound. What exhaust have you got on the car? SSI's with 2 in 1 out?

Dammit Matt - made me homesick to see Calder on a day like that. Great video! Hat off to you for including the spin - just missed the 'arr fuggit' soundtrack element.

The car looks and sounds spectacular. Beautiful work, and great to see it in its natural element.

What about a report on the Falcon test ride??

That was friggin Great! Matt, I'm telling you..you guys and your videos are making it pretty hard on guys like me that don't track their cars.
But, I do have future plans on building a track car as soon as I finish putting my Kids through College.

Cool Matt, reminded me of my last last track outing, but my spin ended in the armco. I have the same exhaust setup....love that sound when the revs are up!

spielberg has nothing on you with you the edit and sound track work. loved that rif in the background and your cut aways (cinematography term) to off track shots. im thinking that you did the tilt to enhance the footage (photography term), kinda like the way "natural born killers" was filmed. i smell an oscar, nice work!

Very cool clip! I like the editing... I've got a ton of in car footage, but am just starting to experiment with the editing.

I love when you jump to the track side scenes. It's cool that you actually get to see the car that is being driven!

Good stuff,

Dean

Nice one Matt. I was out there last Wednesday with Brett (DDR964) who kindly gave me the keys to his race prepped RX7. Shame we didn't end up on the track at the same time!

Did you get any lap times?
