Rasant AEM conversion
My Porsche is 1986 carrera3.2L
After installing the Rasant AEM harness , what most people do with the unused stock DME plugs or wires harness, Do they remove them or cut or keep them together in the car? I talked to Adam ,he saying he no clues how to remove them. Thanks |
Never cut wires in a harness

I agree with mepstein...
what I did with my 3.0, was to make my own harness to service the oil temp switch, pressure sender, alternator wires, starter cables.. you can buy the multi pin connector from pelican that plugs into the car near the back left. Or you can contact Denis (timmy2 on here I think?) who does this every day and he can knock you out a perfect harness. Keep the orignal engine harness or sell off, to pay for your custom harness. |
Lol, weekends only. Still work for a living keeping the lights on in the PNW. :)

Well
After Identifying all the wires common to DME plug and there are two option, you can separate them c/t the dash . Either you cut or trace the wires to the unit. it is a lot of work just save to the four wires from the DME. the later year after 84 there are a few Dash wires are connect to DME ,it unlike the early model 911 where you can just remove them uncut. I believe the 964 model are the same as the early 911 |

Hi,
How did it turn out for you? I’m considering the Rasant harness with AEM Infinity for my ‘86. Cheers, Harry. |
