Porsche Sound Nacht 2018

Thanks to my friend and neighbor, I was at Porsche Sound Night last night in Stuttgart....









I didn't get many pictures for battery reasons. 13 cars, starting with #1 and ending with the 919 and this year's Le Mans Rothmans RSR. The formula 1 car from 1962 was probably the most unique sound, the GT1 may have been the most beautiful, and the 962 was the most ruthless. Honorable mentions(!) go to the Gulf 917, Moby Dick, and '74 2.1 Turbo Carrera. There was a street-legal 996 Carrera Cup car and a GT3 Cup from a few years later. Plus two more that I evidently don't remember....

Before each car, an engineer or driver (or both) responsible came out to tell the stories. Falk, Singer, Bell, Kussmaul, Ickx, H-J Stuck, and other names I can't remember (sense a trend here?). The primary language was German (as it should be), and I didn't understand that part as well as when Bell and Ickx spoke in English (of course).

By my search engine results, it looks like this happened in Atlanta on the same night. Was anyone there?
