73T flared rear arches Hi Calling all experts I am busy restoring a 73T and when it came time to fit the repro bumpers I noticed they do not fit and on further inspection and comparison to another it seems the rear arches are slightly flared The flares do not seem to be aftermarket and seem to be factory has anyone ever heard of a T with flared arches? pics below http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1539855966.jpg Cheers Craig |

To me it looks like an ST flair, if it is not aftermarket... just my .02 |

Here are also some numbers I found on the car when stripping as well as the COA http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1539859297.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1539859297.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1539859297.jpg |

Looks more like a SC flare to me. But definitely not stock for a F body. I’d look for welds on the inside of the fenders. Hopefully they were butt welded and not lap welded. Great looking project. |

Hope you didn’t paint it trying to bring it back to factory and not notice the flares... |

They do look like ST flares. If they are original or factory fitted then they should stay on the car. Do you have any better pictures that highlight the lip profile? If the are factory then carefully extract them. They are worth money to right buyer. I would just flare the front to match and then fit new bumpers. |

Those look like aftermarket SC/RS flares to me. If you're interested in the difference between SC and RS flares I made a video about that here: https://youtu.be/XFu2nSJ9Pos The softer lines on your flares look like aftermarket flares to me. Have you looked inside the wheel well for any weld lines? Curious minds want to know. If your car is a factory ST than you are very lucky! |

Those are interesting flairs. They seem wider than SC/Carrera flairs, with a wider lip and rounder. If they are steel, it is worth doing some research. |

Looks like standard RS flares to me. |
|
Anyone got some ideas on how to get it back to stock without having to replace the whole quarter panel Does anyone sell just the standard flares over the arches only? |
|
Your going to have to cut and weld stock flares on. Flare looks like a modified design. Not ST as that's more rounded , has a RSR profile but too small. They look good though. |

To find out what they are measure above the axle/tire from the inner panal to the outer edge of the lip SC is ~ 11.5" +/- 930 is ~14" +/- ST is ~ 13" +/- |
