1968 911S restoration questions for the guru's

I am in the process of restoring a 68 911S and have a few questions for the guru's on here.

1-Did all 68 911S cars come with fog lights? There is nothing listed on the COA about fog lights.

2-It lists the car with leather sport seats which I am having them done. What would be on the door panel pockets (elephant hide or basket weave)?

3-Would basket weave or elephant hide be on the dash where the ignition switch and other switches are located?

1. Mine has fog lights
2. Elephant hide
3. Elephant hide
4. You didn’t ask but tool kit is also elephant hide

Be advised the repro door panels for sale are not the correct pattern. The original material was imbossed deeply the new stuff rather shallow.

All 68S's had fog lamps. As for Elephant Hide door panels and dash that is only on the early cars with early split engine lids and aluminum case engines. Later cars that had basket weave used the later engine lid and had magnesium engine cases. I do not know the change over date but mine is a Oct 67 build and has the early features. If I were you I'd get a kardex on the car if you don't already have one.
