Question Any Pelicanheads in Great Falls, VA?

I think I may have found a car, but I'd like for someone to take a peek at it for me, and take some digital pictures if possible.

Thanks, and you won't have to work for free!!!!

Michael

Michael,
Great Falls is easy. Would be happy to take a look and get some pics for you. Might even know the car.

BTW, there are a bunch of very active Pelicaheads close by, so maybe we will gather a hunting pack to descend on the unsuspecting seller.

PM with details?

Half dozen is a no brainer. If you need true intimidation we could easily show up with, oh, 15-20!

Now that would be a funny sight...20 of us going over this guy's car with flashlights, asking him maintenance questions, reviewing his records, etc.

Dust off the checklist

Make it 20+,

I can dust off my check list and haul my ramps.

Meanwhile while the rest give the car a once over, I will give the owner a good Marine grilling.

Not sure about Blatz Ice, but for a six of LaBattes Blue, I'll do the PPI (not including a leak down) just for the fun of it.

The best part will be 30 911s (generically speaking) pulling up to the guys house.

I would think that each of us would need to test drive the candidate as well

I'm closer to Great Falls than Tony so I have first dibbs.

Oh Boy, talk about opening a can of worms. This is encouragement that this crowd doesn't need.

Marc will check the ride height and recommend adjustments. Richard will begin an engine drop, just to check on things and see when engine replacement will be required. Jim will start unbolting other bits, while the rest of us argue over stock vs. upgrades, chips, and as long as you're in there why don't you replace the ....

I'll do my usual contribution, holding a flashlight and a beer while offering unhelpful suggestions.

OK, that does it, I'd better fly up there to make sure no one gets hurt!!!

Just kidding on the beer by the way.........I'd prefer some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Fat Tire Amber Ale if I'm going domestic. Problem is, I have an affinity for the expensive imports, like La Fin du Monde and Maudite from Canada, or the Belgian ales.....

Sounds like by the time all of you guys were done test driving it, this low mileage example wouldn't have low mileage anymore!!!

If things go well, I haven't decided whether to fly up and drive the car home, or have it shipped. It really is a low mileage example, so I'm thinking about having it shipped. By the time I factor in gas (at the current prices), hotel, one-way airfare, etc., it's probably a break even. Not that alone, the weather on the eastern seaboard stinks, so enclosed transport in a desirable option. If I do fly up to get it, I'd definitely like to meet some of you for a cold one!!!!!

If you fly up here, you'll have to test drive this prospective purchase on one of our fun runs.
