For the early sport seat experts:
I have this early sport seat that I thought was a typical 68 Recaro but it has some strange differences.
It has a steel seat pan in place of one of the straps.
The right side hinge is totally different - it has a pin that goes into the seat back
Everything else is identical to a 68 Porsche recaro sport seat. Recliner, headrest, seat shape, seat tracks, etc. All the same.
Any idea what this thing is? Maybe out of a BMW or Merc of the same era? Or with that rich velour, maybe a Buick?
