I'm in the progress of replacing the original threshold rubber step plate, which has shrunked over the years. The old one was glued, but the new one comes with two strips of adhesive tape.
Do I need to add some additional sealant or glue when I put it on the threshold? I am afraid that otherwise moisture will be retained. Thanks, Kees ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Actually, as long as the "gap" areas are not sealed on their ends, moisture should not be retained, as it can drain or evaporate away. Alternatively, you could remove the adhesive strips entirely and use semi-liquid adhesive. But I would just go with the adhesive strips already there...

I used the adhesive strips here in Florida with no issues Kees...
