Targa Leaking in rear?

'75 Targa Hardtop, carpets are wet under the targa bar, but not from the rear seal. Back window seal looks ok, old but ok. Can it leak at the base of the targa bar, where it goes into the body?

Hello Bob - take a look at the link below to an earlier thread where this is discussed. A few members offer solutions as well. Hope this helps you out a bit.

Leaking Targa

I like to use this in case the car will be outside in a heavy rain. Seems that Targas like to find places to leak!

Mine will leak were the door glass meets the roll bar seal. Run a hose around and see if water gets in.

I've got one of those, but it leaks too! I think I'll spray it with that tent spray from Walmart and see it that seals the fabric better. Just thought of that, like on the old cabriolet top
