Another headlight switch question
I got a used replacement headlight switch from a fellow pelican. Fast shipper.
Anyway I’m missing pin #75 on the new switch. Same part number. Any ideas how to work around this? Or get another switch? My car 1971 911E Old http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1541794148.jpg New replacement http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1541794225.jpg |
What year is the car? Looking at the Bentley wiring diagrams that I have, in '84 the switch had pin 75, but not in '85-'89 (my Bentley is for '84-'89).
Pin 75 from the light switch feeds pin 30 on the turn signal switch. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1541800411.png |

I wouldn't worry about it. Not unless you wanted to use it for some lights you wanted on whenever the car is running.
As my graph above shows, pin 75 has power ONLY when the car is running and with the headlight switch in any position. Mine only has my fog lights on that pin so that I can use them as daytime running lights but they will shut off with my ignition switch or whenever I turn off the fogs by their own switch. |
