911 SC Having problem keeping my car driving strait
Good day
My name is Jack, I am from Singapore. I own a right hand drive 1979 Porsche SC with 3L engine. I am having problem keeping my car going strait while driving, keep wanting to move to the right when I am not holding my steering wheel. Can anyone point to me what is causing this problem with my car? |
Alignment, dragging brake caliper, corner balance, tires.....a lot of possibilities.
Switch the front tires and see if it still pulls to one side. That is an easy test to rule out tire/rim. |
Kwah,
Thanks for the advice, that the first thing I going to do to my car. |
Another quick test is to feel around the front wheels after a drive. If one of the wheels is hot, you probably have a dragging brake on that side. Careful as it is possible for those wheels to get very hot.

Hi Jack, I was in Singapore three weeks ago. Great place! Stayed at the Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa.
I'm thinking it may be a wheel alignment issue. Possibly a bushing has failed; throwing the alignment out. |
Thanks Bill and Gordon for the help mate, I will definitely check them out.
Bill, hope you enjoy yourself when you are here, Shangri-la in Sentosa is definitely a nice hotel. |
