Heater: Still Having Problems- Help Please

Today I went in to see what I could find. Here is the situation after a series of tests: The problem is that I can not get heat on the driver side either below or above for the defroster.

I took out the carpet up front and a cover off to expose the heater controls, upon testing it seems that everything is moving on the outside cable and lever wise. I did a little test and found that I can get fresh air to blow on both sides no problem below to the floor vent and fine to the defroster. As soon as I turn the heat on, the heat will only come out on the passenger side. When I went to check in the manual it explained that some models had two levers between the seats so each person could control whether or not they want heat to come out of their side, but my car does not have those levers so I assume that once you turn off the fresh air via those controls it shuts off fresh air. If that is is the case it would seem that the heat vent is always open because turning on the blower just does that and does not seem to open or close any vents since I do not think there is a cable for the blower control, but rather its just an electrical switch.

I am stumped, any help would be appreciated. Though its getting warmer it would be nice to have the option of having some heat while I driving:)

I would jack the car up and see if the left heatexchanger hose is connected or if the heater valve is closed
