Selling advice...
Time has come to sell the 911 in hopes to upgrade to a newer model. Question, I am going to take the car to the only reputable Porsche guy in my small town to do a once over and fix any minor things that may come up. I figured while it was in he could just do a PPI since he would essentially being doing this anyway.
Would this PPI be acceptable to you as a buyer. I know when I purchased I liked that I initiated the PPI through someone recommended locally (still got screwed) and this made me feel like the owner was not just taking it to his guy for a green light. Again, there really is not anywhere else in my town to take the car and I will relay all results to the buyer. If you know of anyone interested in an 87 Targa, silver and black with 82k in great shape please email. Thinking of offering it reasonably so it could move faster. ($17,500) Check the Pelicans classifieds shortly for more details. |

It sure can't hurt the selling price, and as long as the wrench is in the car, he may do the paperwork for the PPI at no extra charge. When I had a PPI on a 944 turbo a few years back, they also did the PCA track tech inspection, too, at no charge.
If a buyer still wants another PPI, fine. |

I think it is acceptable, IF the PPI has a lot of detail, not just an "OK" check list. You might check out this info on what I did to sell my 73S - a little extreme, but the good photos and service/restoration history led to a quick sale at full price.
