Reusing Rubber Hoses for CIS

I am rebuilding the CIS on 1979? SC, might be a later CIS although engine is definitely 1979. Some one cut the rubber section on both supplies lines to the CIS. Does this require total replacement or can i replace just the rubber sections? Thanks in advance.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1542655812.jpg

Rubber fuel line hose........

I replaced them using fuel injection rated rubber fuel hoses and use Oetiker type micro clamps.

This is where I am at as well. How to replace all those crimped on rubber bits.

I'd be inclined to take them to your local hydraulic hose repair shop. When calling around to see if they can do this kind of work, ask if they have suitable hose on hand or if you need to bring some.
They will be able to cut the existing crimps without damaging anything under it, and crimp on the new stuff. Typically these guys are clever about how to do a safe, strong, and good looking replacement.

Clamps may work - Oetikers are supposed to be among the best clamps because screw hose clamps only apply the pressure you get when first you tighten them. As the hose ages and flows, the clamped OD of the hose shrinks, which means it is no longer pressed quite as hard against the metal tube the rubber surrounds. The Oetiker acts like a spring, so keeps compressing the rubber. Or so it is said.
