911 sc Speedo question

Going to open it up to clean the glass and face....works fine but always 6 mph fast (as are many I understand)...I am running stock sized Fuchs/tires btw.

The pic below shows the 'set' for the sweep hand/needle when you lift it beyond the post prior to removal....a reference point for replacement.

I am guessing that if I put it further 'south' in relation to a 6 mph measurement it might actually register close to actual speed...

Has anyone done this with there gauge?

That is a pic from Wayne's tutorial...the SC has no resting pin for the needle but my question is the same....
