(Porsche) Things that make you go hmmmmm...

No affiliation to the listing, just felt like I had to share. Please join me in a moment of silence for this poor car. I’m all for creative freedom, but this hurts the eyes.

I would love it if I lived in the right region of the country or had a big enough piece of property in the right region... im confident that was not a pristine longhood that was cut up for the project. prolly a rusty 912 that was the kick off point with the 4 cylinder motor being in place.

im curious to what it will go for in the end. if I were some rich dude in the SW region where there are open, winding dirt roads in the desert id empty my change drawer to plop down a measly $50K on something like that.

im not in the SW, fitty ain't pocket change for me, but if one of my friends that fit that bill bought it id plead some to drive it once or twice....

+1

Surely the builder dialed in the optimal scrub radius.

Listing states, “Lightbourn started this build with a very original 1969 Porsche 911 Coupe that he found on one of his adventures.”

Let’s hope that “...very original...” means rusty.

I'm still puzzled at what the advertising person was thinking by including the model in the first picture.

I beg to differ, that would fit in perfect at my house in Baja.

I did not read all the add as my specs for that are currently MIA.. with the floor areas and pan usually the biggest rust issues I bet much rust was cut away from the OE tub to make this tube frame happen.

an older SC would have been more palatable perhaps? the short wheel base 69 might have just made it tougher?

I miss playa too. I suggest the old timer pelican that invented that persona and rode it to much success lost a couple passwords and now we will never be indulged by playa again. I was always pretty sure playa was mikez...

Are you talking about the car or the model?

This^

I don't think it would be all that bad if the suspension didn't place the wheels so far out.

Just a minor point, 69 was the first year for the long wheel base 911, it's the same as the SC.
