I wonder if anyone knows how much weight one actually saves by taking out the rear seats? It can't be much?
Also I wonder how much weight you loose by replacing the stock door skins with RS doorskins. I mean unless the electric windows/mirrors are scrapped it must be very little? |

Do you mean only the seat backs? If so, then not much. They only weigh a few pounds each. It all adds up, though. It's weight that is higher than the CG of the car, though, so removing them also lowers the CG very slightly. :>)
Something I removed from my car that weighed more than I ever expected.....the windshield washer reservoir! I never used the windshield washers anyway and was installing a fiberglass front bumper and removed the washer reservoir and that thing must have weighed ten pounds when it was full of fluid. Don't know about the doorskins. My car - being a Euro 911 - has the spartan 912E interior, so it doesn't weigh much anyway.... Mike
