what is this sensor?
 

Hi all, forgive me if this is a basic question.... I can't find anything online or in the Haines manual to identify this sensor ('77 911s 2.7). I have a bunch of melted cables going to and from the regulator and the cables to this sensor are also melted. Need to buy replacement parts and then figure out the melted cables issue...

Once you figure out the extent of the meltdown you'll probably want to ask timmy2 about an engine harness.
