Electrical connection clip leash
A low-voltage alligator test lead makes a great leash for those little metal electrical connection clips that have a tendency to go flying. Before you start trying to get one of them on or off, clip one end to the air box in case the metal clip gets dropped. Once it’s back on the connection, release the alligator clip. I haven’t lost one in the engine bay abyss since I’ve started using this technique.

That is a great idea. Note that you don't actually need to remove them. In fact you will most likely damage the plug if you try to remove them because by now the plugs are getting brittle from the years and years of heat cycles. Just use a small screw driver to very lightly insert and twist at the base of the plug and it will pop right off of what it's plugged into. If you wiggle side to side hard enough it will also pop off but I don't like to do that with these old plugs.
