82’ sc targa return fuel line problem

Well love spending time on Christmas Eve working on my Porsche. It has been years since I’ve communicated through this, but ran into a problem pulling me fuel lines through the tunnel. The return line at the rear is not set up for a flared metal end. Anyone else have this problem? Our host had no answers. Is there an adapter? Let me know your thoughts and Merry Christmas!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1545701962.jpg

Contact Len Cummins (BoxterGT) on the forum. I believe he sells an adapter setup for your problem.

Missing fuel line..........

You need the short fuel line with compatible fittings for the flare and compression fittings. How is the other line connected to the system? From the picture above, it looks like the line (background) has been already modified. The one below is for the delivery line to the fuel accumulator. The return line is a straight hose. BTW, do you still the have CIS?

So the hose I am working on is the one from the underside of the tank through the tunnel to the metal lines that run up the back side of the engine toward the filter. This connection is right near the transmission. I had to remove the mounts to get any sort of wrench in there. I’d say the connection is about 3” after it comes through the firewall. I ordered that line and the one that comes off the fuel pump. That line was a perfect fit, but the other fit the underside of tank fine but was not set up for the flared end. I did reach out to BoxsterGT for any wisdom....maybe an adapter? Pelican is not sure why it is not set up correctly for the flared end. They stated there has been some changes with this Porsche part, but they thought it was number only?

:)

Looks like this is a duplicate post, as I answered this same question earlier.

You have the wrong replacement Tunnel Line.

There are two types: 1) 76 through 79 911 and all 930 with a M14 Male Cone, and 2) 80 through 89 SC and Carrera with a M14 Male Flare or Bullet end.

You need the late version and you have the early version.
