Hey SCWDP'ers, one of you should buy this car...

This car will be sold by RM auctions next Sat. - NO RESERVE! Expected sale price is $125-$175k. I can post the whole description, but it is very long.

1980 Porsche 935 K4
c. 800bhp, twin turbocharged 3,164cc Porsche flat six-cylinder, Porsche four-speed and reverse gearbox, When the Porsche 935 was introduced in single turbo form in 1976, only BMW could provide some sporadic opposition to the flame-spitting derivative of the Porsche 911/930 and the 935 reigned dominant until made obsolete by the introduction of Group C in 1983. During that period, the 935’s engine power went from the 485 horsepower of the original single-turbocharged factory cars to over 800 horsepower of some of the later 935 variants built by various race teams in the 1980s – of which this is one.

Beautiful car, but I don't think that anyone on an SCWDP budget will be getting it, (Speaking for myself, of course).

I didn't know the World Domination Plot was driven by finances, I just assumed it was the 78-83 vintage.

You can always bid early, just to say you tried

Or, you could always go for this one....

1984 Porsche 911 SC/RS
255bhp, 3.2L MFI air cooled six-cylinder engine, five-speed manual gearbox, four-wheel independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 89.4” (est.) The SC/RS series of cars used a near stock 911SC shell as a starting point. All factory welds were reinforced and additional bracing and stiffening panels were installed in many of the car’s normally unstressed areas. Porsche designed long-travel suspension components and protective alloy plates were fitted to the cars undersides. The type 930/18 engines of 3.0 and 3.2-liter displacement produced 250 – 275 horsepower.

I would take the Rothman's car in a heartbeat. In fact if I had money burning a hole in my bank account I'd feel compelled to turn the silver smoothie into a knobby tire dragon.

Just checked the results of the RM Auction at Amelia Island and the 935 K4 went for $123,200 and the 911 SC/RS went for $48,400. Both prices seem lower than I would have expected. I dont' know if those prices include the buyers premium.

I bid $48,401 for the SC/RS, and I'll have this guy send a $65k check that he owes me. You can just put $16,599 in the glove box and send over the car please. Thank you very much.
