Hi I am presently upgrading used 2000 M96 that I bought used. Had to replace last one had cracked block when I got the car. Which is a 1999 911 Carrera C4.
Prepping engine for new ims upgrade I pulled the plugs to turn the engine to get the ims sprocket to move to the solid part so I can install the set screws to hold it from moving before extracting the the bearing. Anyway I’m confused as to this rubber cover or nipple on this one particular plug. I don’t see it listed as any part on pelican or see it mentioned in any of my manuals. This plug was in cylinder #5 which is the center plug on the right side middle plug facing front.Has any seen this rubber on a spark plug before . Please let me know. Thanks [mg]http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads26/image1546821665.jpg[/img] Last edited by Gdtms55; 01-07-2019 at 05:57 PM.. Reason: Mistake |

For water cooled Porsche information I would check with the folks at Rennlist. Pelican is mostly air cooled however there is a 996 forum here that might be able to answer your question.

Gdtms55. I feel like an idiot. The rubber nipple was the spark plug rubber grommet that came out of the socket. It fit the plug like glove. I’m such a dope. Thanks to Anyone wasted their time reading this postq
