I am installing B&B Headers on my '93 964 motor this Friday. The gaskets are the crush-type round gaskets that seal the exhaust to the head via a channel in the head. The problem is the gaskets will not stay in the channel while you raise the header to the studs. Are there any tricks to get the gaskets to defy gravity and stay in the channel while you position the exhaust manifold? Has anyone used grease, tape or something else that will burn off to hold up the gasket that will not disrupt the seal?
Thanks in advance.

Any light grease, or a dab of Super Glue will work

The same anti-sieze you should be using on the studs can hold them up there, more or less.

they'll usually hang-up on the studs if the gasket is tipped across the studs.
