Pics of Audette black/fluted lights plz

Hi, I'm going to grab a set of Audette LEDs and can't decide between the black or chrome with fluted lenses for my guards red '85. Unfortunately his website doesn't have much in the way of imagery or a clear presentation of available options.

Any chance proud owners could post a few photos with their combination of components?

Am I correct that the available options are....

1. LED
- black face
- chrome face

2. Lens
- fluted
- clear hella
- clear standard

3. Bezel
- black
- chrome

4. Trim ring
- chrome
- black
- primered

Thanks

I'm curious what that small circular thing is in the bottom of your light... another led?

Also, is it just me or do some of the lenses have a curve from top of trim ring to the bottom while other versions of the lens go flat at the top, then angle down (ie. H4)? The latter is what I'm expecting to see. For example, the two lights below definitely don't look like they have the flat section of lens along the top which I prefer. Thought it may be an SWB thing but I see the lights listed as a direct replacement for all 911's 1965-94.

Are there different shaped lenses? On his website I only saw fluted, clear hella, clear standard... what is shown in the photos below?

For anyone wondering... it's only the clear lenses that are 'bubbles', the others are H4 style. Also, I mistook terminology; the 'bezel' is the surface immediately surrounding and part of the LED itself.

1. LED
- black bezel
- chrome bezel

2. Lens
- fluted
- clear hella
- clear standard

3. Trim ring
- chrome
- black
- primered

While pondering I got to looking at the flat6illumation lights and see they too have an option for the european running light... I'm guessing that's what the small circle is that I was asking about above. I wonder what that looks like when on... anyone have pics of audette/flat6ill lights with the running light turned on?

Cheers

Technically, the little lights housed in the front headlight assembly are known as "city lights." From Wikipedia: Colloquial city light terminology for front position lamps derives from the practice, formerly adhered to in cities like Moscow, London and Paris, of driving at night in built-up areas using these low-intensity lights rather than headlamps.

They really look cool around dusk!

Baby Jesus cries every time non-fluted LEDs are put in an early car (65-73).

I went with flat6... and got both black and chrome reflectors thanks to Francois’ kindness. He just threw in the second set knowing I was having a hard time deciding without any examples to look at. Thanks for the examples posted .... if I put the fluted with black I’ll post here in case anyone else is curious.

Cheers

I also ordered fluted with black reflector. I’ll post photos when it’s done.

No close-up handy, but here is a picture of my custom bi-xenon built by D-Zug (no longer making them), i plugged the city light holes with plastic caps I found in the caps & covers bin at my local hardware store. Once these lights power up, very intense white light with great cut-off on low beams.

These were supposed to be black reflectors but I’m actually happy they’re as they are. They look dang good in person and really well put together.

Pic of Flat6 assembly with black reflector and fluted lens with a HID projector.

I’m still undecided between clear or fluted on my Guard Red 87 and I’ve been running around with clear for a year already.

To each their own, but I will go with what almost every 911 had from the 60's till 1989.
