Sway-A-Way Rear Adjustable Spring Plate, how good are they?
I'm looking at these Sway-A-Way Rear Adjustable spring plates to ease the process of lowering my '76 911, I did a search on the forum and it seems there were a few Pelicans that faced some issues with these, such as this one :
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1001625-77-911s-rear-spring-plate-torsion-bar-issues.html Was that an issue of the product itself or something to do with the installation by the user? Do you recommend these plates in the 1st place? |
I installed sway-a-way adjustable plates and had no issues. However I purchased new stiffer bars so not sure I can speak directly to the referenced issue.

I just posted a reply which I meant to put here - but accidentally put it in the thread you linked above. Refer to that thread for my reply :-)

I installed some of these in my car in about 1995. 23 years and tens of thousands of street and track miles and they have been fine.
