If you need some curved washers, send me some specs and I can make them.

I bought the washers from our host and there's no cad plating on them. So I don't need them I'm just bugged about the plating.

Try MSC or McMaster Carr if you are just looking for curved washers. They stock plenty metric.

Yes, absolutely recommend McMaster Carr, best place in the world for anything mechanical related.

Your original picture yesterday before you deleted it showed the curved washers for engine/transmission mounting. They were clear zinc coated. Not yellow zinc. So... What is the problem?

A lot of parts these days will not have the yellow zinc or Cd plating because of environmental regulations that have prohibited the chromate chemicals.

Thank's for the clarification. I was wrong although I ordered a set a month ago and they were yellow. The reason I deleted the pics and text was I realized I was wrong.

I replate brand new Porsche clear and yellow zinc parts all the time, most notably clear spring plate covers and yellow fan housing straps. Black brake dust shields too.

Yes. The conversion of clear zinc to yellow is quite easy and can be done at home with about $30 in chemicals. Its the disposal that is a problem...

I often do this as well. Buy cheap, clear zinc coated parts. Dip them in plating solution for about 45 seconds, rinse and let dry. You can get the chemicals from Caswell Plating.

Matt and Patricia are good people. For all customers sending in used wave, lock, flat and Schnorr washers, I replace and replate all wave and lock washers, flat as needed (some are just too beat to reuse), and new Schnorr as replacements or as part of a spring plate package using Belmetric hardware.
