Black or chrome wipers on a long hood?

which are "correct" for a '69 911E? Just got the car and it has black anodized wiper arms. is this right? thanx. s

I am the original owner of a 69 912. Wipers are flat black in all models, definitely not stainless.

My car has black, but I would love to have stainless. Anybody know a source?

1965 to 1967 were silver painted, parked on the right side. Both arms had angled tips.

1968 to 1973 were black painted, parked on the left side. One straight tip arm, which is in front of the driver, and one bent tip which is in front of the passenger. Both arms had a very distinct "bow" in them. Shouldn't be parked too low on the windscreen.

If you want a stainless look, on the "polished" side (pretty bright), check our host (not sure if he carries them) but a midwest vendor starting with "A" has them. Note that these arms and blades are not original type, but they fit.

For satin silver painted, or black painted our host has both. I know he carries my silver version, and I "think" he still has my black ones as well. I'll check and let them know, if not, you can find new ones on my website (in my sig).

Note that the same wiper arm/blade combo went up to 1977, then they changed the arms.

Cheers,
Eric
