Axiilliary Air Regulator -83 SC

Hello:
Does anyone know who can rebuild this part? I would be interested in a NOS part or good used as well. This is for my 83 SC stock motor. Bosch part number 0280140218. Mine is not functioning properly as the idle is not constant.

I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ben.

Ben,

Did you check the resistance of the AAR? Check also if power is delivered to the electrical plug when the FP is running. If power is present (FP running) the aperture opening should start to close between 3~4 mins. Confirm it is defective before buying a replacement one. Or remove the AAR from the engine and bench test it u sing a 12-volt source.

I opened mine up and cleaned it. It's worked fine ever since.

Thank you for the responses. I did have it bench tested and it has power. I am going to remove it and take it apart to clean it. This car sat idled in a garage for many years. I will keep everyone posted.

It might be worth putting in a freezer to see if it opens wide up. This could indicate whether you have a problem with the mechanism being stuck or a problem with the heater element.
