Main Beam Wiring Problem - Help

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Forum and this is my first listing.

I have recently purchased a 1986 3.2 Supersport.

When I put the headlights on the main beam comes on as well, if i swap to just sidelights the main beam goes off.

I have fitted a brand new oem stalk (not cheap) and the fault is exactly the same.

I think it may be the actual switch but as these are £300.00 I thought I should check the wiring from the stalk into the switch as it may be possible as it may have been tatted with ..?

I have been told by a local Porsche Centre*it could be just 2 wires the wrong way around sending the incorrect feed to the stalk, however they don't have anyone to do the work and would have to get a auto electrician in.

Could anyone confirm which wires from the stalk wiring go to which terminal, as I can then check it out before I go to buying a new switch and are there any checks I could do

I am also whist on going to fit a inline fuse to the clocks and the pelican parts relay kit.

Cheers

Alan

Any advice who be a great help as*
