Al Reed is the man, just got my 7's in from Al and the look perfect. He's one of the best to deal with, as I bought these from a member on this board and sent them straight to Al's. He called the day they came in, looked at them, spun them and said he could get all the curb rash off. I told him no hurry since my cars in for paint and they arrived 9 days later packaged great, all for 125.00.
Stupid me, I was really thinking about doing these myself. After polishing the center caps I'm soo glad he did them. My fingers were sore for days. WoooooHoooooooo can't wait for the car to come home and send in a pair of 6's to him for the completion. Money well spent!

I understand that pride of ownership leads some people to spend days polishing their wheels, but when you look at the quality of Al's work, and the money he charges, there's no way I would spend the time and effort to do the wheels myself.
HE'S THE MAN!!

yup, when I got mine back from him I was tempted to hang them on the wall or encase them in a glass display, they looked more like jewelry than wheels.
BTW I'd bet that was $125 for both. |

Yes, Al does amazing work. My pair of '68 6x15 Fuchs arrived home yesterday, fully restored and looking brand new. I'll post pictures this weekend.

911SC Pilot: That's the beauty of Al's work. They look like chrome, but they're polished. As Sammy said, Al turns out works of art on a daily basis.

So yours looked like this BEFORE he did them?? Thats nice. Im sure he uses a buffer type hand held machine, with some soft of cleaner or polishing compound. Heck, now I know I can bring a brighter shine to mine, and after knowing its the same rim, I can do it my self, for no $ . THANKS

Al took the wheels and removed the anidozation, polished the lips & paddles, painted and put on a clear coat for 50.00 per wheel and 25.00 for shipping of both. Try getting your center caps polished to that shine and I bet it'll take you 2-3 hrs.

Has anybody had the thought to hang out at his shop for a few hours and actually see what process's he uses? He's seem nice enough. I'd be interested in what methods he does. Most likely he had is down to a science with all the proper tools to make it go quickly. I'd be interested to know and it would make a great post. I don't think he has to worry about anybody stealing his business at those prices!
