should pilot bearing be loose on input shaft?

I've got a 6 bolt crank so I'm using the flywheel an pilot bearing to suit that.
Pilot bearing # 901-102-025-01 to be specific

The 915 i'm using I think is from a 1983. The input shaft measures 15mm at the tip where the bearing would contact it. it has a slight bevel or bulge to it which I think is correct so the 15mm is in the middle where its the thickest.

What I noticed is that the bearing is loose on the input shaft. Is that normal? Should it be a tight fit or is loose what you want? Seems to me you'd want it to fit pretty snug so it can support the input shaft but what do i know.
