Engine keeps running with ignition switched off

Hi all. Ok, more problems to resolve on a 911. The car is a 1982. This one is fun and I can’t find any solutions using the search button. I turn off the key and the engine keeps on running. This started when I retired the frunk fuse box. Clearly, I got something wrong... as it is now, I’m shutting it down by stalling the engine, which isn’t the best solution.

Can anyone point me to a potential solution? Thanks!

check for power to the CD unit with key off and then on.
if power there with key off then look for what wire/fuse has power with key on.
some fuses are suppose to have power all the time.

by retiring the frunk fuse box I assume you mean you replaced it/upgraded it

Thanks! Sorry, I meant to type rewired, note retired! 👀

Oh, and here is another stupid problem... In retiring the windshield wiper motor, I can’t figure out where the ground wire(s) connect. I can’t find the connector anymore. It all works when I touch the ground to the motor body. Any help would be appreciated!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1550675498.jpg

Once you turn the key off (and the engine is still running) step on the brake and/or raise the handbrake and see if it shuts off then..

Might be a bad diode in the alternator.

Your flux capacitor is shot. ;)

Rather than dump the clutch to stop the motor, you can always just pull the red fuel pump relay. This, in the meantime.

Long term, it sounds like you need to spend some time with a wiring diagram.
