1978 911SC mystery bolts

I bought a 1978 Porsche 911SC, with the engine compartment in pieces. I know where everything goes, except for these 3 bolts. They are 2.5 inches long with an 8 mm phillips head. Can anyone tell me where these go?

John

Not for you car. Nothing with that head style was on a 911.

is the smog air pump removed? they could have been used to hold the driver side chainbox cover on if the studs for the AP were removed. the three points where the mounts for it (were) are larger than the rest of the chainbox cover bolts. they seem long for that use, but maybe the OE studs were replaced with those to maintain the AP mounting?

Save them.......

They might come handy sometime but not in your 911. There is a can of assorted nuts and bolts that I keep in the garage and it saved me from driving to the hardware store a few times to finish a job.
