Mechanic near DC

Good afternoon everyone,

Does anyone know of any good Porsche mechanics near Washington, DC? I have a friend who is looking to have the IMS bearing fix for his 911.

Thank you,

Steven

I know of these two. Haven't used them since I do my own work on my 911, but he can interview them.

Check out Autobahn Porsche Specialist in Fairfax. Jose worked on my car for several years.

GOOD to hear -- Jose worked on my Carrera from when it went out of warranty until I moved to Denver in the late 90s -- He was solely responsible for sorting it out (e.g. getting the 915 shifting like butter, finally getting it properly aligned, and dialing in the moronic)

I could tell what part of the engine/car he'd worked on, because that section of the car would be cleaner than new.

While it's been a while, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him
